Come and join us on Saturday 8th September in our very first sponsored ZSEA “Walk for Wildlife” around the park and help raise funds for Save the Rhino.
Funds from this event will go directly to the Save the Rhino International (STRI) project operating in South Africa’s Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park where, in recent years, poaching has become a big problem.
The early morning walk before opening to the public, is for all ages and will be great fun for friends, families and colleagues to sign up and take part in, there will be plenty of staff lining the route to offer support and you can even come in fancy dress or any bright and colourful clothing.
With the walk starting at 9am, the registration desk will be open from 8am where you will collect you team numbers. There are two routes 1 mile (1.6km) route taking in Lemur Islands, and a 1.6 mile (2.6km) route taking in the new pathway behind the Lake and the “Marsh” paddocks, both walks will start and finish at the Lion House. You can select which ever route you and your team members would like to do, or you can do both if you like and as many times as you want. Once you have finished your walk you can relax and enjoy the rest of your day in the Park at your leisure.

Step 2 – Start Fundraising

Families and teams suggested fundraising targets are:
- For families and teams up to 4 people: £50
- For families and teams with 5+ people: £100
Set up your team online fundraising account for this event, and as a thank you for your great achievement, you could receive one of the following gifts;
- Raise over £50 and receive a rhino cuddly toy
- Raise over £100 and receive a rhino adoption bag
- Raise over £250 and receive a rhino themed goody bag

Now that you are signed up and you have got your team Virgin Money Giving page set up, the next step is start preparing for the event day.
- Wear comfy shoes and come in fancy dress (optional)
- Please bring your email booking confirmation with you and arrive all together if entered as a team and you are all on the same booking
