Enrichment Wish List – Can You Help?
Would you like to give the animals at Africa Alive! a gift for Christmas?
Our Enrichment Wish List is a very easy way you can help and donate.
The ultimate beneficiaries of all that we do, with your support, are the animals in our care and wildlife conservation.
Have you ever visited Africa Alive! and Banham Zoo and wondered why there are paper mache piñatas in with our tigers and lions, puzzles in with our monkeys or pebbles in with our Asian small-clawed otters?
What is Enrichment?
Enrichment is an important part of caring for the animals in our care, it increases our animal’s physical and mental activity levels, and encourages natural behaviour such as foraging. Enrichment is also a great way of offering our animals choice and novelty by stimulating their senses. Here at Africa Alive! and Banham Zoo our team is dedicated to planning and creating effective and relevant enrichment for our animals.
Enrichment Wish List
Our Enrichment Wish List on Amazon is a very easy way to help and donate to Africa Alive! and Banham Zoo. Our keepers have chosen a range of enrichment items which are available for you to purchase for the animals at both parks. Some unusual items include a bubble machine for the penguins at Banham Zoo and a Calvin Klein perfume for our big cats! All you need to do is visit www.amazon.co.uk, select ‘your lists’, locate ‘find a list’, and search for the ‘Zoological Society of East Anglia’. Both parks’ wish lists will be located on the left-hand side of the page. Browse through the items and add something to your basket just like your regular shopping! Our friends at Amazon will then deliver that item straight to us.
Make sure you leave a personalised gift message with your name and contact details, when given the chance to ‘add gift options.’ Without this information we are unable to thank you personally. If you would prefer to remain anonymous, we would like to thank you all in advance for your kind generosity. You will be directly contributing towards the important work we do for wildlife conservation and animal welfare.
Remember to follow us on our social media pages for enrichment updates!
