Seasonal Costume Character and Play Area Supervisor
We are looking for a confident, energetic and enthusiastic person to work as a Seasonal Costume Character and Play Area Supervisor to join our team to help maintain the very high standards we require at our award-winning zoo.
This role is to commence as soon as possible and continue through our main summer season.
This varied role will involve entertaining our guests and ensuring that we provide a fun and exciting experience for the children whilst visiting the zoo. You will also be required to assist with any information and activity projects relating to the park, along with maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness across the zoo’s indoor and outdoor play areas.
Successful candidates will be required to attend to all customers in a polite and friendly manner ensuring a high level of customer care at all times. We offer full training, flexible hours to suit, with a chance to work in a demanding but exciting environment.
Due to the nature of our business, successful applicants will be required to complete a DBS check. In addition, applicants must be able to work weekdays, plus weekends and Bank Holidays.

Seasonal Activities & Presentation Officer
This position involves working in a small team to deliver quality presentations, which promote conservation, the work of the Zoological Society of East Anglia and the wonders of the natural world. The major part of this position involves driving and presenting the Safari Roadtrain, but it may also include assisting with the feeding talk programme and animal handling sessions, assisting the Education Officers with day-to-day tasks such as event planning and the upkeep of the Discovery Centre, and the production of educational resources.
The position is offered on a part-time basis, with specific hours / days to be discussed, and will run from now until October 31st, depending on start date availability.
The successful candidate will have experience of public speaking and good communication skills, together with a good level of animal/environmental knowledge, coupled with excellent customer care. A “can-do”, flexible attitude is essential.
Candidates must be over 21 years old with a full driving licence and over 2 years driving experience in order to drive the Roadtrain, in accordance with our insurance requirements.
