ANIMAL DISCOVERY SESSIONS

WANT A REALLY WILD EXPERIENCE?

Why not book a hands-on discovery session, where your group can get up close and personal with some of the smaller animals in the park! Whether you would like a curriculum linked education session or just a unique treat, the discovery sessions are guaranteed to keep groups of all ages enthralled. From nurseries to colleges, and Sunday schools to uniform groups there’s plenty to amaze and astound! Sessions can be tailored for all ages, abilities and curriculums – even brownie badges!

WALKABOUT SAFARIS

Have your very own guided tour around the park on a wide selection of topics, including Adaptations, Plains of Africa and Animal Behaviour. Available for KS 1 - 4 and adult groups.

BUSINESS STUDIES

Use Africa Alive! as a case study for your group’s ‘business studies’ projects. Book our education team for a private session focusing on a range of topics including marketing, customer care and careers.

Early Years Interactive Encounters

All ages can now get involved in our education sessions with our special early years programme aimed at 3 – 5 year olds. These sessions link in with the Foundation Stage Learning Goals and offer the children a chance to explore the natural world in an exciting but safe environment.

If there is a specific topic or project you would like to cover here in the park, the education team can create a specifically tailored session for your group.

Please feel free to contact the education department before your visit to discuss your requirements. Examples of previous sessions include ‘Mini-beasts’, ‘Animal Drama’ and ‘Big Cats.

EDUCATION AND ACTIVITY PACKS

Available in a number of topics, these packs complement the education sessions and are also available for use either in the classroom or for home study. Packs include lots of information, photos and work ideas.
