Hands on Learning!
2017 Key Stage 1 & 2 Programme
All sessions encourage your group to explore, observe and discover animals in a hands-on setting designed to bring the classroom to life!
Each session is curriculum-linked to a particular learning goal, but all sessions touch on other topics including the variety of life, classification, conservation and healthy living.
A chance for your young explorers to go on an incredible journey through different habitats and discover how Africa’s animals are perfectly adapted to survive. Go on a savannah safari and get hands-on with a rainforest reptile!
Animal Babies & Growth
Learn about different animal babies and how they grow into adults. Guess the egg, complete the life cycle and find out all about the amazing ways in which animals grow!
Discover how different animals are adapted to eat different foods! Find out all about dinnertime in the animal kingdom; who eats what – or who eats who! Get hands-on with some hungry herbivores and check out the teeth on some super skulls!
How to Build an Animal!
Compare and contrast the building blocks of different types of animals (including humans!) and find out how their bodies work. A fun look at form and function as your group gets hands-on with some live animals and has a chance to create their own creature!
We encourage photographs to be taken as they make a wonderful addition to a child’s learning journey. Please ensure all relevant consent has been obtained.
