'Keeper for a Day' Experience at Africa Alive!
As our guest and temporary colleague, we will give you a true feeling of what it is like to be a keeper at Africa Alive!
Activities could include:
- Prepare enrichment feed and browse for the giraffe
- Meet and help clean out the rhinos
- Clean and feed the ring-tailed lemurs
- Prepare food and feed the bats
- Clean the aadvarks and bat eared foxes
- Help clean the animal kitchen or participate in other interesting activities
'Keeper for a Day' Experience is available to those aged 14 years and over. Activities may be subject to change on the day due to welfare or operational factors. Experience days must be pre-booked through Park Reception prior to your visit. The programme of activities is dependent on the capability of the participants; however, where it is possible, resonable adjustments will be made to try to ensure that the 'Keeper for a Day' Experience is open to all.
Full-Day Experience: 9.30am - 3.30pm £180
Half-Day Experience: 9.30am to 12.30pm PM = 1st Oct - 31st Oct + 1st Feb - 31st Mar will be 12.30pm - 3.30pm. 1st Nov - 31st Jan will be 12-3pm. 1st Apr-30th Sep will be 1.30-4.30pm £99
BE A ‘KEEPER FOR THE DAY’ WITH A FRIEND OR RELATIVE
Follow our normal Keeper for a Day programme but experience the delights with a friend or relative.
Full Day Experience: Available from 9.30am - 3.30pm £270

NEW ‘SPECIALIST’ HALF DAYS NOW AVAILABLE FOR KEEPER FOR A DAY
We are now able to offer ‘Specialist’ half days for our 'Keeper for a Day' experience for those who have a specific interest working with either primates, carnivores or some of our hoofed mammals. Working with one of our keepers, your half day will be tailored so that you work with the animals* of your dreams.
