Activities & Presentation Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Africa Alive! for a seasonal Activities & Presentation Officer.
This position involves working in a close team to deliver quality presentations, which promote conservation, the work of the Zoological Society of East Anglia and the wonders of the natural world. The major part of this position involves driving and presenting the Safari Roadtrain, but it may also include assisting with the feeding talk programme and animal handling sessions, assisting the Education Officers with day-to-day tasks such as event planning and the up keep of the Discovery Centre and the production of educational resources.
The position is offered as a zero hour contract, with specific hours / days to be discussed, and will run from March to October 31st, depending on start date availability.
The successful candidate will have experience of public speaking and good communication skills, together with a good level of animal/environmental knowledge, coupled with excellent customer care. A “can-do”, flexible attitude is essential.
Candidates must be over 21 years old with a full driving licence and over 2 years driving experience in order to drive the Roadtrain, in accordance with our insurance requirements.
