Trainee Animal Keeper

A vacancy has arisen for Trainee Animal Keeper at Africa Alive!.

This position is permanent and is based on a 40 hour week.

Working to a high standard under the direction of the Head Keeper, you must be prepared to work with all kinds of domestic and exotic species and will also provide support for
the rest of the keeping team.

Applicants must be hard-working, flexible and conscientious. They must be prepared to work as a team, expected to work weekends and Bank Holidays. Some animal experience is desirable and a keen interest in zoo animal husbandry is required. Salary is age dependent.

Seasonal Qualified First Aider

We are looking for an outgoing, warm and friendly individual to assist with any first aid issues for both guests and staff during our very busy summer season.

When not dealing with first aid, they will also be asked to assist our guests with any help or information they may require, so a good understanding of great Customer Service is vital.

This is a temporary summer role which is offered on a daily 11am – 5pm basis, on a 5 day week rota, weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required. The contract will run from 22nd July 2017 until 3rd September 2017.

You must hold a current First Aid at Work Certificate and payment will be based on age and experience. A DBS check will be completed on the successful candidate.
