Cook

This role will be essential for the continuing success of our busy “In Park” and occasional function catering – therefore we are looking for someone with a proven track record or relevant experience in a similar role, who has a passion for quality and consistency and enjoys the challenge of a busy kitchen.

The successful candidate will have experience in providing a range of home-cooked dishes and also fast food, maintaining high standards of quality despite high volumes of customers.  Experience in a fast, pressurized environment would be ideal.  Due to the diversity of the dishes produced, applicants should have a solid cooking background with some creative flair.  A basic Food Hygiene certificate is essential for this role.

This is a seasonal, “zero hours” role, and requires a flexible approach to hours and the days worked, as it will entail some weekend and bank holiday working.  This contract is offered with an immediate start and will run until the end of October.

If you would like to join our great team, please download an application form and send this with your CV and covering letter to: Sharon Westgate, Catering Manager, Africa Alive!, Whites Lane, Kessingland, Lowestoft, NR33 7TF or email Sharon.westgate@zsea.org, stating previous experience and availability.

The closing date for applications is 10th April 2017.
